Members are invited to nominate names of people to serve as Deacons and Overseers. Elections will take place at the November Church Business Meeting. Please let Tracey know in writing the names you would like to nominate – you do not need to approach your nominee at this stage. The closing date is Friday 5 October.

Please consider donating non perishable foods for needy families.  These will be appreciated and can be dropped off at the church. Suggested items are available on the brochure rack.  If you prefer to make a cash donation please place it in an envelope, or make an EFT, marked “Grocery Appeal”.  Parcels are packed on the 1st of the month so, if possible, please make your donation before then. Thank you.

During the October school holidays, we will be taking a group of Grade 6-7 children to help at Holiday Club with Living Hope in Masiphumelele.  Please join us in praying for this incredible opportunity.

Just a reminder to save the date of Wednesday October 31 for FRIVOLITY!  Join us for an evening of fun…invite your friends and neighbours. Be on the lookout for more details!

Another opportunity to serve our community has come to us through Living Hope. King of Kings will, from 17 October, in partnership with Living Hope be a place where people can come to receive their monthly medication from False Bay. Living Hope is overseeing all the medication arrangements and which patients will come to King of Kings but we are needing volunteers to come alongside the Living Hope staff member to help and welcome people each weekday morning between 08.30-10.00. If this is something you would like to get involved with please speak to Tracey.

If you are new to our church how about joining one of our small groups. These small groups are a great way of getting to know people, learn together and support one another. If you would like to join a cell group, please speak to Pastor Tristan or contact him on tristan@kingofkings.org.za or phone 021 785 4200.

The latest edition of Baptists Today magazine is available at the Help Desk. A suggested donation of R20 would help cover costs.
