Umucyo means |"Light", and their frequency is 102.8Fm.
Maurice Hakizimana of Christ Gospel Media is
the project leader but other churches who are involved with rebuilding
both the country... and the broken lives of it's citizens, have
pledged their
support.
The station aims to present the Gospel of Jesus to the people of Kigali but also intends to address HIV/AIDS issues, gender equality and poverty alleviation.
RAN has sent studio equipment and loaned an antenna to Umucyo Community Radio and Radio CCFm, Cape Town , South Africa has loaned them a 100w transmitter. Training has commenced and the official opening ceremony will be on the 28th May, 05.

The good news is that Christ heals the past and brings newness of life in Him. A lovely new suite has been found on the top floor of a building in central Kigali where the studio will be placed. Pastors and ministry leaders gathered to hear more about Umucyo
